I look at the progress of the of each class over the course of 50 years and see that everybody is doing better and is richer than they were.
Like I said, why do you think it doesn't work? Bc wealth isn't distributed evenly?
Let's suss this out a little:
Measure of progress--are you talking about per capita income adjusted for inflation
class--are you talking about decile or quartile groups in the income distribution
last 50 years--is it your contention that government policy has been trickle down in the last 50 years? all of it? just certain periods? does it matter whether policy was trickle down in some of that period and not trickle down in others?
we had an exchange earlier about being willing to look at the data honestly and changing one's views based upon what the data show. is there any pattern in the data that would cause you to revise your view that trickle down works?
