In his speech last night Trump said "We have built a lot of it." So voila, he has his exit strategy. Declare mission accomplished and move on.

Apprehensions at the border rise. Shows you how strong enforcement is.

Apprehensions at the border fall. Shows you the effectiveness of wall and deterrent effect of strong enforcement.

Something awful happens. The Democrats should have given me the wall.

Heads I win. Tails you lose. Win-win!

Apparently Democrats are now off their stance that the Wall is an immorality. They've played this issue so poorly from the beginning.

This deal is trash.

What it does show is progress and the democrats getting past the ridiculous position that the Wall presents an immorality.

Trump and his admin will find the money and then sweep his way through the 2020 race on the back of a strong economy, vindication that the Russia nonsense was a partisan hoax and promises kept from a politician. That is almost unheard of nowadays.
 
Further, another shutdown isn't needed.

The last one did the trick by forcing the conversation on illegal immigration publically to be had and it exposed the Democrats for being open border fanatics. 4-D chess and you guys don't even realize it. It would be a terrible mistake to have another shutdown.

I think this deal should be scrapped.
