Keep in mind NJ (as well as VA, NH, etc.) have republicans regularly in power. But NE republicans arne't the same as national republicans. They're not especially religious zealots and they're more fiscal conservatives and socially moderate.

Kamala didn't bridge that gap of more moderate conservatives with new voters.

But that's a bigger question.

I still believe that if we had a dem primary Trump isn't president but the ****ery of the last year and the dems shifting gears was too much to overcome even against someone you can take easy shots at like Trump. Had harris had multiple debates she could have made some serious distance.

You still aren't getting it.

This wasn't simply a rejection a Kamala Harris. Dems down ballot performed worse as well. This was a massive rejection of Democrat ideology. There wasn't the massive women vote swing that they thought they were going to get. And I think a big part of that is the Dems talking about protecting women's rights while simultaneously changing what it even means to be a woman.

Dems are going to have to massively adjust their platform if they want to appeal to more voters. It's a simple as that. They already tried to start that transition when they shifted their stance on the border once they saw how unpopular their open borders policy actually was and how it was destroying largely democrat cities. Unfortunately for them (or fortunately depending on your point of view), it was too little too late.

Protecting womens rights has more to do with protecting them from roving migrant gangs than allowing them to have an abortion up until 8 months.

Most women see that.

AOC is the Democrat version of Marco Rubio. A popular name for a time, especially in their state, but isn't as appealing on the national scale. They have don't have many policy wins to hang their hat on.

The Squad has already started to fall apart if that tells you anything.

The Drama Queening from the left is ridiculous. They refuse to acknowledge why they lost and want to blame every boogeyman they can. They lost because they offered people nothing while Trump promised everyone a pony. The biggest focus of their campaign was abortion and even that they had no real power to do anything until atleast 2 conservative supreme court justices die or retire.
