He was in an unwinnable situation. What MAGA wanted was no bill to ever pass, no budget to ever pass, and impeaching Biden every week. They wanted stupid political stunts and to make everything worse to make the country suffer for voting their Lord and savior out. That was political suicide and no one who was willing to do that would win a speaker election to begin with.
