Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

I'm happy for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and all. She won fair and square against an ossified old school Democrat. But I really bristle a bit at her elevation to celebrity status for simply winning a primary. She hasn't served a single day in Congress yet and she's jetting out to Kansas to tell folks in the heartland what they should do. As someone who has been in the politics/government game for a long time, I realize paradigms change (been through a couple paradigm changes already), but people should have to earn their spurs and get a few things done before they start preaching online. I don't want to single out Ocasio-Cortez because this kind of behavior happens on both sides (it's similar to Dave Brat's unseating of Eric Cantor), but maybe Ocasio-Cortez should get elected and worry about Queens first.

we disagree.

i find her refreshing and lament that during Obama years (D) was unable (incapable) to cultivate national personalities under 60 yrs of age.
Correct me if I am wrong but her general election is safe and for all intent & purpose by winning the primary she in effect won the seat ?

Was she invited to Kansas or did she just show up ?

We do agree that for someone of her experience she is getting an inordinate amount of coverage -- but something must be resonating
Without knowing anything about her or her positions I would vote for her for telling Ben Shapiro to take a hike.
