That’s not really something that was being dictated to anybody, though. While I don’t disagree the cultural landscape has shifted, these types of things were in the category of performative wokeness. American Eagle presumably has not done well historically with the “obese black women” demo and it sounds better to bring up inclusion than to tell consumers you’re shamelessly pandering to them.

I understand your the bleeding heart but what happened over post decade was insane. Obscenely obese people should not be promoting anything besides the before picture of an Ozynpic ad
