- white people have a higher % than non white people
- kids with no father in the home have a higher % than kids with a father in the home

There is a disproportionate amount of black males being gay but not females it seems

But that may speak less to your white vs Non white point and more to the fatherless home one

I think one thing you’re missing here is that the type of people more likely to be at Ivy League schools are the ones who might have an openness to their sexuality. College kids experiencing new things (influencing that Gen Z number as well) are likely more open to questioning their sexuality than a grown adult who’s had time to figure themselves out, and have more hormones helping to “affirm” their attraction to the same sex. I’d also think Ivy League students on average would be a self-selected bunch when it comes to questioning the way of the world, so to speak. The type of person studying, say gender studies or sociology at Brown University might have a more open mind on this particular topic than the average person.
 
Perhaps more important to me than what the data is telling us is the fact that I don’t give a fuck if today’s youth like touching genitals that are the same as theirs or different.

Again, I don’t accept the premise that a gay person won’t contribute to the children being born thing. There’s plenty of straight people not having kids already. And statistically you’re right, but having two loving fathers or two loving mothers will still produce good outcomes much of the time.

We’ve reached the “throwing shit against the wall” phase of this argument. I’m not pro-dicks out in front of kids, but I do not care if the owners of those dicks prefer dicks over vaginas generally. We can agree that some actions/displays at some Pride events are not appropriate for all families without that meaning I should cede any ground on not caring about someone’s sexual orientation.
