1951: Bob Feller pitches his third no-hitter in the Indians 2-1 win over the Tigers. He joins Cy Young and Larry Corcoran as the only pitchers to do so in M.L. history.
1962: In the second of a doubleheader against the Indians, the White Sox become the first team in M.L. history to record three sacrifice flies in one inning. Juan Pizarro, Nellie Fox, and Al Smith account for the run scoring flies.
1982: Orioles manager Earl Weaver moves Cal Ripken, Jr. from third base to shortstop.
1997: Randy Myers records his 300th save in the Orioles 4-1 win over the Phillies.
2003: The Mets trade Roberto Alomar and cash to the White Sox for Andrew Salvo, Edwin Almonte, and Royce Ring. Later that day, the White Sox also acquire Carl Everett from the Rangers.
