1951: Bob Feller pitches his third career no-hitter in the Indians 2-1 win over the Tigers. He joins Larry Corcoran and Cy Young as the only ones in M.L. history to pitch three no-hitters.
1960: H. Gabriel Murphy's option of first refusal to purchase the Senators from owner Calvin Griffith expires. He would later lose two court decisions, thus preventing a move of the franchise to Minnesota.
