"Paul spokesperson Kelsey Cooper told the Washington Post, which first reported the story, that the senator filled out a form to report the investment in 2020 but said the form had not been properly transmitted, something she said Paul didn’t realize until he was completing an annual disclosure. He contacted the Senate Ethics Committee for guidance and submitted a supplemental report, which said that the investment was between $1,000 and $15,000. Under the Stock Act, members must disclose investments within 45 days, and annual disclosures must be made in May."
Like whoa.
Paul's wife makes a tiny investment in a stock BEFORE the stock became.covid relevant... they messed up the disclosure and later reported it. The stock pick has.made.them zero money
I'm
Outraged
Want to venture a guess on who is outraged ?
Charles Booker. Has begun fund raising off of this over this slight "snafu"
dont hink he sees it as innocent as Rand is trying to sell
Think anyone watching the balance in the 2022 Senate better get used to hearing about this " oversight"

Quite telling you invested in said stock and rather than bemoan the fact the the drug was ineffective in curtailing a pandemic you bemoaned the fact you lost money.
You might want to sit this one out until the dust clears

The senator ought to have an explanation for the trade and, more importantly, why it took him almost a year and a half to discover it from his wife,” James D. Cox, a professor of law at Duke University, told the Post. And the senator does have an explanation, though it appears to be predicated on assuming we’re all stupid.

" Eight days after his wife made her investment in Gilead, he was the only senator to vote against an $8.3 billion emergency coronavirus bill. "

Making matters more interesting, CNBC reports, remdesivir was the only stock purchase of an individual
company made by either of the Pauls in at least a decade.
