There's a reason Civics often isn't offered as a class in high school anymore. It's harder to convince generations to beg the government for everything they want if they have an understanding of what the role of government is supposed to be.

Of course the problem is the government gets to interpret the constitution. So we get things like Border check points 100 miles in land because Border patrol said it would be too hard to do their jobs unless given this power. And they can just **** all over private property rights by charging your couch with a crime and then saying it has no legal rights so you have to prove it didnt commit a crime.
