Mets will make us pay more and not eat very much salary. They aren’t gonna help us in any way so I knew that was an up hill battle.

None of these writers know much tbh. Some of them have connections but they see the Braves aren’t usually flashy at the deadline and already have a pretty complete team so that’s what they are basing this stuff off of. Any reporting about the Braves and Verlander is coming from the Mets.

Our pen has good numbers. I’m not as worried as most on the board.

I do know there are way more innings to cover in the playoffs so I live deals like this at a low cost. Hand can take out a big time lefty and I think he can do ok vs righties to get through the minimum
