Trade deadline thread

Where do we start with a package for Cease..

Elder plus..
AJSS plus..
Grissom plus plus plus....

I just don't see him trading Elder, even though that would help the 25 man roster decisions a little easier.

I actually wanted Tim Anderson quite a bit last off-season. He's having a tough year, but there isn't anything eye popping about his rate stats from this year to recent years, other than a drastic drop in BABIP.

AJSS and Grissom is a good start for Cease, but clearly not enough. 2.5 years of control. Pitched like an ace last year, but has more of a MOR type of pitcher for most of his career. Depends on what they are looking for I suppose. Wonder what their value on Wright would be?

Several Mets minor leaguers are at the ready at the team’s KC hotel, waiting to take the place of players they expect to move. Ronny Mauricio is not one of them.

Braves would need to throw in Murphy or Richie. Teams always want the one lottery ticket

With Verlander off the board, look for other dominoes to fall. I predict E-Rod to the Dodgers soon.

The Braves need a starter.

The Dodgers REALLY NEED a starter.

I suspect that urgency, money, and superior farm system will win the day.
