Trade targets?

Bad move letting Winker go to the Mets. There wasn't one player who fit us better. And now he goes to a divisional rival that we are neck and neck with...
 
Going to get a replacement level player and then hear the stories that AA had interest in a lot of players but nothing came together like he wanted. Translation: we are broke and the farm sucks.

I think there are some interesting pieces in the system, especially some of the college pitchers we've drafted the past few years and I think there is money, but I think the looming luxury tax threshold could be limiting things. There was talk the Mets and Giants were talking about Conforto, but Winker going to New York likely kills those conversations. Curious what the Giants do. They continue to be in the gray area vis-a-vis the playoffs, but both Conforto and Yastrzemski might be available. Still would be nice to have a better RHH OF option than Duvall and Laureano.

Duvall has a 155 wrc+ vs lhp. He's great if used correctly

With Arozarena, Chisholm, and Winker off the board, there aren't any better OFers available. I don't even think Roberts is better than any of them (36% K rate this year), and he's a long shot anyways.
 
Yeah. Who do the Braves get at this point. Every wild card team got better. Guess the Braves hope for the guys to heal and others to figure out why they suck.
 
Looks like AA put all his eggs in the kelenic basket. Our regulars will hit and Harris will come back, or we will fade
