I think there’s some merit to this argument. Transitioning from “Justice for Laken Riley” or talking about the costs of housing migrants to the US government posting ASMR videos of people being deported and people gleefully cheering on regular people being sad about their middle-aged mom being deported seems like a really impressive way to misread your election win. Normal people didn’t just suddenly become fans of casual cruelty and human suffering, and I don’t think this message will sell as well as it did as the opposition party highlighting how Americans might be suffering.

So a flight captained by a male with 26 years of experience crashes after he lets his trainee with a restricted license land the plane in a snowstorm. One might question if this is the case of a trainer poorly performing his role or an accident caused by weather conditions. The woke right will push that the trainee was a beauty queen and DEI caused a plane crash.
As a side note (and 100% not pertaining to the qualifications of this pilot), beauty queens are likely not in the group of people that need DEI programs to find jobs they’re unqualified for. Good old fashioned hiring biases are absolutely more than capable of elevating weird qualifications like pageant success or the attractiveness/charisma of a candidate to overlook merit in a decision maker’s mind. It’s actually a reason DEI programs exist in the first place.

I suppose it’s fortunate he is genetically predisposed to be better at handling his fears in a high-pressure situation. Just think what might have happened to the plane and its passengers if a woman had to deal with that type of stress!

As an aside. I'm currently being accused of sexism to HR bc i put one of my reports on a PIP.
Shes terrible. Clients complain about her. Cross functional partners complain about her. She has missed her targets substantially 2 straight years. And is about to cause it's too lose another huge logo.
But! She's a woman, a minority woman at that. So I have to go through the process of explaining why this decision isn't rooted in sexism, despite the fact I just promoted a different woman, and 75% of my 12 person staff is women
