I think you’re being a bit guilty of using the same poor logic here as the leftists and MAGA folks you take to task. Just as there’s no excuse for violence or destruction, there’s no need to assume any individual protestor is there to commit violence or destruction. Keeping people safe from anti-riot measures like tear gas is not treason and putting them on to protect yourself is not a criminal act.
