Is this at me? Why the heck would I switch sides to Pfizer just because Elon Musk bought it?
My stance on the COVID vaccine is that they were largely safe, reasonably useful in some cases but not what we were told, and that it was always reasonable on a personal level to not want to get it. My only real beef with the right on COVID vaccines is the sensationalism and ignoring the obvious fact that all of us that got vaccinated are like ****ing fine right now. We should always be skeptical of Big Pharma, but like I got the thing myself and I’m just… not dead from it and I just got a little tired and my arm hurt.

Yes it ****ing is science. If you don’t want to spend money on ways to improve mental health care for gay folks specifically you can say that, but it’s not *not* research just because it serves a specific population. Medical research, particularly mental health research, absolutely needs to take into account things like sexual orientation and how laws like the Florida bill might impact suicidality in gay teens. Suicide prevention is not something you can just do generally. Yes, there are also many things that need to be studied and explored that have broad applications, but differences in individual attributes like sexual orientation or past military service or age or gender or even where you live will lead to different variables that must be accounted for when treating a suicidal patient. You don’t even have to agree with their choices or accept their identity to understand the need to study how the suicidal ideation of different groups differ in cause.

I am begging conservatives to be serious, just this once. The original Snow White came out in 1937. Live-action remakes about Disney films has been the butt of many jokes for a decade now. The CGI is terrible and it looks like another one of the many heartless cash grabs that have become so disliked by audiences. If those things weren’t all true and the film were just good instead, the film would have still sold tickets and we wouldn’t be talking about wokeness. I know that because many other films that have been successful recently have been much more “woke” in the first place.

Snow White isn't a love story, unless you find fantacizing about an unconscious woman lovely.
The movie sucks, it's why it's failing. Gal Gadot is a ****ty actress, the crew is meh etc. If this was Rachel Zegler directed by Jon Favreau, people would be going to see it.

1. Cast a ****ty actress to play the villain.
2. Hire a mediocre director to direct the film. Hey I have a great idea, let's bring in the guy who directed the mediocre Spiderman remakes to direct this remake
3. Hire a bad writer to write the script - Seriously look at her filmography, it's bad.
4. Have lots of drama related to the set from non-dwarves playing dwarves (like how the **** is Peter Dinklage not cast) to fueds between the lead actresses.
Honestly I think at this point DIsney may be doing the plot of the Producers, using hollywood accounting to make movies that are going to fail to make money.

Have you watched her act? She's miserable. Wooden, no tone, no inflection, if she wasn't a super model she wouldn't get work with anyone other than a director who she was hooking up with.
Zegler I'm not well versed on, she's a theater kid in theater roles. SHe won the Golden Globe for her role in West Side Story. I don't think she's the beest actress ever, but Gal Gadot has a rap sheet of ****ty acting. I'd be much more forgiving to a 23 year old kid.

Fair enough on the extra circumstances on this film, but it would have still been fine if it didn’t suck. Barbie made approximately all the money not too long ago and it was *deeply* progressive. It’s not the culture war that determines box office results, it’s the quality of the movie and of course advertising campaigns.
