I think that's a pretty good crew. IIRC Diaz is an inconsistent plate umpire. Miller has a good rep. I don't recall any issues with the other guys.

Who was the d bag from last year's infield fly rule? Also, who is the d bag we recently had that was awful (I know that's like describing someone as medium build and sorta tall).

Sam Holbrook was Infield Fly Guy.

We've got history with Doug Eddings, CB Bucknor, and Angel Hernandez. Who am I forgetting?

I've got $1 on Hirschbeck or Diaz being the one to screw us this series. So between one of them and Schumacher and Uribe I say those will be the names we hear most in this series.

How funny would it be if Holbrook botched another infield fly against the Cards? Haha. Really I'd take any botched call that hurt the Cards but an infield fly would just be karmic delight.

bucknor is working the a's series

holbrook is doing the cards series

Of all the available umpires, how do these two get selected to continue calling games this season. Why, oh why can we never hear, see or read about one of these jerks getting reprimanded or (God forbid) fired over their poor job performance?

I just pray for once an even called series. I hate to make excuses but more times than not, we are on the short hand of the deal regarding calls. I just want a fairly called series, and it seems these umpires, Diaz aside, are all pretty good at what they do.
