Unpopular Opinion Thread

Here's a place to post your opinions that go against the popular view. A place to not worry about getting cancelled. Give is what you really think no matter how unpopular it might be. I'll start:

Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a terrible judge. She was a phenomenal advocate as she displayed arguing before the SCOTUS. But the job of an advocate and the job of a judge are different. She never could grasp that.

Ronald Reagan is a bottom tier president. He gets all the credit for ending the Cold War (he helped of course, not trying to take everything from him) but overall he was a dementia patient who's white house lead to almost every issue that we're experiencing in politics today.

Heres one I say a lot. I think violence is justified to defend your basic human rights from violence no matter what law any government makes and that people who take up the job of depriving people of their basic human rights deserve anything bad that happens to them or their family. Now I will freely admit that most people do not understand what a basic human right is to make that judgement call.

Heres another. Vietnam vets arent heroes.... the ones who refused to go are the heroes of that generation. Specifically Muhammad Ali. I dont give a **** what the US government tells you you are allowed to do. When you pick up a gun and invade a foreign country that is in no way a threat to you then you are the bad guy. It would be ironic to imprison a person that shot the people trying to imprison him for not going to murder people in another country.

Simple is not bad.

No, but I'm tired of musical youtubers praising the Beatles every step of the way because they're the first artist they fell in love with. Beatles were pioneers, they are talented. But they're all middling musicians, middling vocalists, who performed incredibly well together.

But people hype them up, you know who should be hyped up from that era instead? Little Richard. When you talk about solo careers of Paul McCartney or John Lennon, you know who smokes the pants off them? Stevie Wonder. And I'm not going back to better musical artists like Zeppelin, Rush, The Who, Queen, Pink Floyd,Cream, the Doors (minus Morrison's droning vocals), or the Jimi Hendrix Experience who were much talented musicians. I'm talking about more pop based artists because that's the realm the beatles played in.

But I'll go with a different hot take. Rolling Stones are massively overrated. Keith Richards is an amazing riff writer, Charlie Watt is the most underrated member of that band, and Mick Jagger has next level charisma (how else could someone that ugly front a band signing that poorly make a career) but basically they chalk up a hit per album, think of it this way, there's 30 Stones Studio Albums, can you name without thninking 30 rolling Stones songs? How many Zeppelin Songs can you name? Cause they released less than a 3rd of the albums.
