Untouchables

The different trade rumors we've all discussed has made me think of which prospects I most want us to hold on to. With how deep our system is, I feel like there is a lot of room for different opinions, so I ask this: which players would you make untouchable if you were the Braves?

My list:

Swanson
Maitan
Acuna
Allard
Toussaint
Demeritte
Pache (These last three simply because I don't think they'd be valued highly enough in a deal and I really like them)

The only reason I wouldn't add Albies to the list is that I think his ability to play SS could boost his value enough to make him worth listening on.

I might add Derian Cruz.
 
I think you have to decide if you are the Pirates or Red Sox or something in between.

My view of the Braves is that they are something in between, which means they probably have 1-2 untouchables but are willing to move anyone else in the right deal.
 
I would say Swanson and Maitan are at the top of the list. Acuna and Allard in the next tier. Other than that, all would be available in the right deal. I greatly prefer Albies to Demeritte.

These are my 4 that come to mind. I'm not sure I'd even include Acuna. There have been plenty like him flame out.
 
Swanson and Maitan. I would put Acuna as close to that as well. His current value is suppressed by last years injury so I wouldn't deal him based on that mixed with his ceiling.
 
Swanson, Maitan and Allard. That's about it at this point. Fried is close. I really think he's going to be something else.
 
Yep, Swanson and Maitan are about it, depending if some of the lower level pitchers develop into Grade A talent. Demeritte is hardly untouchable. They hope he turns into a diamond in the rough, but he's mostly a place holder at 3rd for Maitan. Then, as somebody else here suggested, possibly a super sub. That's hardly irreplaceable, and certainly a future potential trade chip.

Cruz and pache I'd like to say are close to albies

Demeritte and touki I'd have no issue moving for a longoria or archer.

If I could go albies demerit te and touki for archer I'd do it. Don't think the Rays would
 
there are no sure things and there should be no untouchables...but it is important to have a solid understanding of value...guys like dave stewart who are behind the times in that regard tend not to last long
 
Teheran and Freeman apparently.

Have to imagine Swanson's close, Maitan too. Beyond that, I'd guess no one. I'm sure there are several that they don't really "want" to trade (Ender, Ozzie, Maitan, Newcomb, Acuna) if they can avoid it, but I can't imagine that word gets tossed around the offices much, if at all.

This is a good list
 
Swanson, Maitan, Acuna, Allard, and Fried. The latter three because I think their perceived value is low due to injury concerns.

I also much prefer Albies to Demeritte

Same reason I have Pache and Touki, which is I don't think their trade value is going to be as high as I think it should be, and I'd hate to see us sell them short. I'm sure there are other prospects in that camp, but those three I'm especially high on. If we got fair value back for them, I'd change my mind. Realistically the first four on my list are the only ones I'd actually say we should hold onto at all costs.
 
I wouldn't trade Acuna right now simply because he doesn't have that widespread value yet that he probably should. He is a year away from blowing up some top lists, and there is where you get some good value (if you did have to move him in a deal)

Acuna - I really get the vibe thy this kid is special.

Maitan - too much upside to trade.

Soroka - I don't knew that is he is going to be an ace but I like him as a good inning eating SP.
