Were you expecting to get Montero for a bench player and Uribe?
It doesnt seem like a great return here though.
Maybe management sees something in Whalen.

Are you expecting top 10 for who we traded? Let's not kid ourselves. There's no one who's willing to give a top 10 prospect for what we have left. If you get something out of Gant, consider it a win and move on. I only want CJ gone now for a bag of titanium golf balls.Hart has done well up to now. We basically traded 2 good players for 2 fringe players who will probably never see the Majors. Whalen might. Don't know.

Maybe the plan is to lose as many games as possible the rest of the way in.
A top 20 prospect from a good system is fine for the return it's better than the return for Aramis.

Yours is a dizzying intellect thethe. But you are spot on. People thinking we'll get top 10 'spects are in for a shock. Now Maybin..JJ..who knows.Mets system is loaded so 18 in their system is like 12 in most others.
Hate trading in the division, especially to the Mets... and to get such a poor return for an in-division trade just makes it worse.

Re-signing Fredi is just more disappointing with each passing day IMO.
