Thanks for suggestions. I'll be there for 5 days. Smithsonian, natural history museum, monuments, White House, capitol, Georgetown, Arlington cemetery, and my wife probably said more, but I forgot.

I’d stick to that and don’t go overboard. Mlk and Jefferson for sure and the air and space museum is the **** too.

Holocaust is worth checking out

Bureau of engraving and printing is pretty cool too


Private museum wise the spy museum is pretty interesting too

But again I’d just say don’t go overboard.

guy who supposedly lives in said city that a person is asking about for suggestions claims he doesn't hate joy by responding with suggestions as follows:

Oh and the double masked shields are always good for a laugh

I enjoyed the Holocaust museum.

I may be in the minority here but didn't like the monuments other than just kinda walking by or giving them a light " once over".

Vietnam memorial wall was pretty powerful but the Iwo Jima one was pretty cool to see as well. Arlington (tomb of the unknown soldier changeover) and spy museum would be on the list too...

Agreed on both Iwo Jima and Vietnam memorial

I took my kids to the Spy Museum when they were still kids...i thought that one was a little schlocky...kids liked it more than i did

no one has mentioned the Museum of the American Indian...i think that's worth a visit

If you can get a bit outside the city Mt. Vernon and Monticello are really cool.

Actually misremembered Monticello is farther than I remember it being.

It's a shame the Newseum closed. Their 9/11 exhibit was really cool.
