We Finance Barbarism

.....................................
End of the day:

There was no financing and there was no barbarism
.......................................................................................................

A transcription service was hired to transcribe the videos, without being told that Planned Parenthood was the client, to compare with transcripts publicized by the anti-abortion group. That comparison, the analysis said, showed “substantive omissions” in the group’s version. Mr. Simpson was assisted in the analysis by several others, including a video forensics expert, Grant Fredericks, and a television producer, Scott Goldie.

"According to the investigation, the reviewers could not determine “the extent to which C.M.P.’s undisclosed edits and cuts distort the meaning of the encounters the videos purport to document.”

But, it said, “the manipulation of the videos does mean they have no evidentiary value in a legal context and cannot be relied upon for any official inquiries” unless C.M.P. provides investigators with its original material, and that material is independently authenticated as unaltered."

Like Casey used to say
" you can look it up "

It appears selective reading is a thing, but then again, when it comes from the resident king of bias and cheap shots, are any of us really surprised?

From the same article:

Mr. Daleiden, in a statement posted on the Center for Medical Progress’s website, said, “Planned Parenthood’s desperate, 11th-hour attempt to pay their hand-picked ‘experts’ to distract from the crimes documented on video is a complete failure.”

He added, “The absence of bathroom breaks and waiting periods between meetings does not change the hours of dialogue with top-level Planned Parenthood executives eager to manipulate abortion procedures to get high-quality baby parts for financially profitable sale.”

Mr Daleiden ?

while pointing your finger at "selective reading " you must have missed where Mr D's is identified as "one of the activists"
common mistake -- I know I have often cited Mr Daleiden as an expert on any number of subjects.
Free one on me bro

It's easy for the analysts to pinpoint all these discrepancies because the hidden cameras used had both time stamps and frame counters turned on. So they could clearly see where—in the long, supposedly raw and supposedly unedited—chunks were missing. There were instances where audio didn't match video, where camera angles and lighting changed in the middle of conversations, and time stamps revealed big jumps. These are not, the analysts conclude, the result of mistakes or using the equipment incorrectly. They are "intentional post-production edits" which "mean they have no evidentiary value in a legal context and cannot be relied upon for any official inquiries," and that they "lack credibility as journalistic products."
.................

This was how in Season 2 of The Newsroom they found the tapes were doctored.
Which leads me to apologize to James O'Keefe.
Even he isn't that dumb.

Being the weekend and I really am a kind person -- I won't take it to the next logical point. And will drop it until "we" comes up with some other over the top
Faux Outrage

Yes, and in the event your loss of comprehension was a short term event (which, anymore, I seriously doubt is the case), the video analysts claiming the tapes were 'altered' -- notice that untrue or fake is not the word choice here -- were bankrolled by Planned Parenthood.

It might just be me, but I would imagine that an organization which receives over half a billion dollars from the federal government each year would say/do pretty much anything to keep the free money coming.

Where did you rip that quote from?

Ah, Daily Kos.

Pin the tail on the buffoon.

PS: What 'kind' person kills babies?

I don't know. Never met such a person
Let me ask
what kind of a person calls another a baby killer knowing full well the 2nd person has never killed a baby?

It has never been proven Daily Kos has doctored information. Or knowingly puts up something false.
And if it has happened mu money would say they would have a retraction and apology tout suite
You may disagree with their opinions or find the finding of their reporting counter to your political bent (which I would welcome)

You have a bad habit of confusing agreement and disagreement with good and evil

To borrow a page from your book: You advocate for a position that accepts the killing of babies, your hands are bloodied whether you realize it it or not.

What have you done today to prevent the killing of babies?

Proven by whom? The same 'analysts' who reviewed the Planned Parenthood tapes?

a) I do not advocate abortion. I made that clear many pages ago
b) Taught my children what life means. Abortion is not and has never been a go to option in my life or my families life.
What I do behind the scenes stays behind the scenes. I do not wave a Pro Life Save the Children flag then neglect or cut funding to feed or educate.
So in the context I asked the question - I really don't think it applies to me . But, I can see where you would get to ask the "When did you stop beating your wife question"

The article was clear the analysts did a blind analysis. Not knowing who funded or for what purpose.

Here's about the best "objective" analysis that I've read from someone who has watched all the unedited videos. I suspect it will please the 57s of the world to a certain extent.

Yet, the second link (below) expresses well my dismay at those who would take solace in the Vox article and where the problem still lies:

The Shrug That Scares Me

And yes, we still finance (through taxation despite the supposed safeguard of the Hyde Amendment) barbarism (that you can't admit the obvious isn't my problem 57).

Missouri Attorney General Finds No Evidence Planned Parenthood Mishandled Fetal Tissue

"The evidence reviewed by my investigators supports Planned Parenthood's representation that fetal tissue is handled in accordance with Missouri law," Koster said in a news release. "We have discovered no evidence whatsoever to suggest that Planned Parenthood's St. Louis facility is selling fetal tissue."

that planned parenthood hearing would be great comedy if those idiots asking the questions weren't trying to be serious
