Where will the next war front be?

I'm not hammering about votes. I'm saying they are fairly irrelevant now with the actions/inactions of courts. I don't think votes are going to affect this matter of SSM and being able to operate within the public arena without giving assent to it from this point on.

Why does that bother you?

i would agree with you that the votes don't matter

only when the vote is making a certain % of people in this country a 2nd class citizen. those votes should be irrelevant and thankfully they are becoming irrelevant

it bothers me that it seems (maybe i am reading too much into it) you think the vote is all that matters on the issue

I don't believe that a view is morally correct by virtue of a majority of people in a community holding it.

I don't believe that a view is morally correct by virtue of a judge or court in a community holding it.

I differentiate between what is popular and what is right. I also differentiate between what is legal/illegal and what is right/wrong. They aren't always the same. I appeal neither to the majority's view nor a court's decision.

So much is right about this.
