Why Academics Leftists and Elitists Need to Treat Ordinary Americans With Respect

These are all good things - Employers see this and don't value ivy league or private school education.

Go back to the state/city colleges that give you a good education without gouging your wallets which end up paying to indoctrinate your children against you.

Without gouging your wallets for sure (at least relatively), but where's the evidence for the 2nd part?

There was an interesting analysis posed last week that showed a very high correlation to the Pro Hamas protestoers aligned with the higher cost schools.

More the school cost, the more protest clusters it had

It was an interesting chart, but it's hard to parse out how much it says about the students vs the institutions.

I don't blame the dumb communist kids.

I blame the dumb communist adults in the room. The professors who are tasked with mentoring, teaching, and preparing these young people for life

They have failed miserably

I embrace not deflect. Teaching young people is a very satisfying thang. Even if some find thangs to complain about.

This isn't just a "thang", Nsacpi. There is serious radicalization going on in our colleges.

umm...i went to college (a very liberal college) when Ronald Reagan was president...i was there to observe my classmates distress during his inauguration and the celebration (by a small number) when he got shot...now the school i teach at has a rather apathetic student body...very little activism...not a peep about Palestine....so not an apples to apples comp...but i have to say thangs were a lot more rad back in the day

one of my favorite college memories was having a committed marxist from the political science department as my academic advisor...i had never met one before...in spite of his politics he was actually a pretty good academic advisor
