Winning the NL East

Go be a Nats fan the way you talk about them, christ.

It's pretty much the Dodgers, Giants, Nats, Braves, Reds, Pirates, Cards, Brewers for 5 spots.

So 8 teams for 5 spots, we'll see.

Schedule does get pretty tough though.

I believe all things "normal" or whatever, we're definitely a better team than Milwaukee, San Fran, Cincy and I might say LA. LA are old and full of guys who are always hurt. But their 1 and 2 are the absolute best in baseball.

Fangraphs says we have a 12% chance to win the division? That's not good. Only way we win it is we dominate them head to head. Could happen, but I wouldn't bet o it.

He's a Nats fan imo.

Talks like the Nats are the 27 Yankees with no flaws but the Braves suck butt.

Nope just a realist who doesn't want to grieve all winter, just as much as a braves as any of you...probably more because I take sports way too seriously.

A realist, ok guy.

You talk up the Nats like they're the 27 Yankees and the Braves like they are the worst team in the majors.

You will not find a post where I called the braves the worst team in baseball. But they are not a playoff team without a rotation addition.

Minor pitching like he's capable is that.

But if he keeps pitching like crap, you're probably right.

If your a realist then what are these people? http://www.wnff.net/index.php?topic=30091.0

Delusional Nats fans who think their team sucks and the Braves are far better? You cant both be realist with the exact opposite opinions. Let me post some samples for you.

"freaking freak freak

Zimmerman's shoulder is acting up. He's missing game time with supposed illness, but is still able to come to the game and talk with the game crew

Espinosa still blows and it looks like he'll get serious playing time

Harper has changed his 15 year old batting stance and now can barely hit his weight.

freaking season is done!"

"Same soft ass team. Just wait for the Strasburg bed-crapting tomorrow. Good lord I hate that guy."

"Checking in. Still can't beat Atlanta."

"The Cardinals are going to rape the crap out of the Nationals next weekend. It will be like the Braves' series."

You would fit right in with them, except to them you would be a Nats homer.

The season isn't over and Minor isn't guaranteed to be lost all season. If he can turn it around we still have a rotation that could compete with anyone in a 5 or 7 game series. Not saying it will be as good as anyone's, but one that can compete.

I nothing of that board they don't like me. I told them truth last year they threw me off. Look I have got to tell truth. I am not changing my tune just because a few of you go with the braves do no wrong crap. Put your big boy britches on...

I would feel 100 percent better if Hale took Minor's spot in the rotation. Minor's command has gone to hell; he will wind up leading the league in gopher balls at this rate.

Really? You need to get Minor going right to be a playoff contender. Hale at his best isn't good enough IMO.

Hale is a 4-5.

Minor when he's right can go toe to toe with some aces.

He out-pitched Strasburg in DC a little while ago.

He has pitched like ass though, i dont know whats wrong with him, but Hale isnt the answer.

Dude, stop. Minor has been MUCH better than this for a while now and you know it.

He's been better than this for about half his career. Overall his numbers dictate a middle of the rotation starter. He's been bad equally as much as he's been good.

Mike Minor was pretty bad in 2011. 15 starts that season and at this point in 2014 he has 15 starts.

His ERA is up more than a run this season, he's allowed 17 more hits, his walks are slightly lower, his strikeouts are up a tad, and the most telling stat is he has doubled his homeruns allowed from 7 to 14.

I am just wondering why we completely dismiss the awful Mike Minor and only talk about his good stuff? Makes no sense especially when the splits between the two are almost half.

If you really don't know the answer to that, then God help you.

Sixth lowest Starter's ERA in the majors. But somehow our rotation isn't good enough to make the playoffs.

That makes complete sense........
