Suspension does not equate to a corresponding roster move.

Yes it does, that is the roster move according to Braves twitter. He is off the roster for one day, so that is the move.
The odd thing is putting Gosselin on the 40 man. If it was a one-game deal, they could have brought up Pastornicky or Elmer Reyes who are already on the 40-man. This makes me suspect Gosselin is up for more than one game. We shall see.

Maybe he is trying to get released. I mean, it isn't fair to him either not to allow him a chance to start over instead of wasting away on the bench
He signed a contract. The team has to pay him $13 million a year. They control what happens to him.
Sure he did, but he also wants to play. Trying to get released would push the process along. Really not sure what the hold up has been.

Maybe they will release him after the suspension. By suspendng him one game and then releasing him they atleast get out of paying one game check.
Late on the fastball. Late on the slider. Late on the curve. Braves got tired of all the tardiness.
I agree he should just be released already. But for the team's benefit, not his. Again, they're paying him $13 million. He has a responsibility.
DOB tweeted that Fredi expects Uggla to be back with the team Friday. Perhaps he's just saying that right now. Hopefully.
