WS tix?

Since this thread talked about ticket prices, imagine the Astro fans that forked out $500-1000 for a family of 4 for the game last night. I'd be sick

I hope they bankrupted themselves doing it. Those cheating SOBs deserve all the negative that comes their way, forever.

Signed,

Bought STL\ATL tickets for game 5 at the last minute ($$$$) only for it to be over in the first inning.

That’s brutal.

I hate the Cardinals.

That game was a bigger gut punch than 3-1 LAD last year.

I would never attend another game after that. Good on you for persevering.

If I lived within 2-3 hours of Atlanta I'd jump on something like this.

Being 8 hours away (driving) there's no way.

Yeah - I'm not 8 hours away, but just far enough that it has to be a "special trip" when I go. Maddening - and more expensive - but I'll probably get more out of going to ONE big series (like the Cubs/Yankees/etc.) with a few friends and staying at the Omni for 2-3 nights.

Blowing it out in one stretch like that costs an arm and a leg, but at the end of the day it probably doesn't wind up being that much more expensive when you start figuring gas, several stays at "regular" hotels, time off work, etc..

Gonna have to sell one of my tickets to afford a parking pass! LOL

They got stupid pricey.

If anyone has a line on a pass for Friday pm, send me a PM.

There is a Cajun restaurant that’s ok but not great where Tilted Kilt used to be. If you eat there you can park for free. it’s on the sign and confirmed inside.it’s past Cumberland Mall but it’s.not a bad walk. Have a drink or two or some gumbo and you’re set.

I’m flying in tomorrow morning and playing chicken, waiting till the late-afternoon tomorrow to buy off SeatGeek when all of the sellers realize they’re running out of time to unload. There’s a big supply of overpriced tickets for sale, betting prices drop under $1k/seat by game time, we’ll see though.

This is how I always buy my saints' tickets, and I've always had success

That's what I was planning to do for Saturday to get a standing room ticket

It worked out well for us. Snagged seats in the RF corner, 100s level for $1,000 apiece. 3-4 o’clock there were tickets going for as low as $600. Seems like that was the sweet spot for the best deals. Good luck.

Really hard not to let your thoughts get ahead of you at this point. Greinke isn't Greinke anymore (not to say he's not going to be a huge hurdle because of his experience), but I couldn't help but imagine what I just might be smack in the middle of in 48 hours when d'Arnaud hit his bomb last night.

Greinke is exactly the kind of guy I'd expect the Braves to struggle to hit in postseason, but hope they clobber him.

That would take a lot of pressure off the second bullpen game.

For anyone that managed to get tickets from the team directly, did you get an actual paper ticket? Or is it mobile-only?

Mobile only. I was hoping for a paper ticket as a souvenir. I even asked at guest services if they could print one. Nope

A huge part of the reason I haven't caved and bought a ticket yet. Not 100% sure that the views from most of the reasonably-priced seats (as if there is such a thing) are much better than the ones from the Omni deck. I have no clue, so that's why I'm planning on being one of those crazies standing in front of the check-in desk well before official check-in time tomorrow.

Would really love to hear from anyone that goes tonight (or went last night) how much more travel time it's reasonable to add - of all the craziest things to take from one of the Riley interviews last night, one of the things that stuck out was that he mentioned how crazy traffic was when he was heading to the park. Seems to me that that was a mouthful coming from someone who's used to dealing with Atlanta-area traffic all the time.

Well I will tell you last night being in the stadium, it was an amazing experience, but not always comfortable. Extremely long lines for everything including bathroom. When you factor in that they jammed more people in with standing room tickets, it was a challenge at times to even move around.

Ugh - dislike! Thanks for replying tho. I figured that would be the case because it would be fun logistically to mail out tens of thousands of tickets 🎫 overnight to folks. Really wish you could’ve gotten one tho - that stinks. I was gonna try and buy one off of the ‘Bay.
