I know he hasn't had a good year, but come on, everyone. Matt Olson is only 30 years old, 4.5 years younger than FF. Which was the main reason for the trade. I don't know what the typical aging curve is for players of his type, but he has a lean body and plays a position that doesn't put a lot of wear and tear on his joints, so I don't see why he should age poorly. He just seems like a player who goes through extended hot and cold periods.

Can you identify any differences between Freeman's and Olson's offensive profiles that suggest a reason?
You may want to start by noticing I referred to Olson as a "LHH power goon", and try to figure out what stats make a guy qualify as that type of hitter.
Or just keep blabbering nonsense...nobody really cares what you post.

To be fair, before we moved on, you used to say that you expected Freeman to age like a typical 1B.
Because he thinks exporting data is a unique skill. He has no true insight. Just results of basic data analytics. And when confronted with real world nuance he malfunctions and proves to be worthless.
We should have kept Freeman...regardless of what impact Olson has going forward.
He should have been kept on the cheer point that he is a first ballot HOFer that was still in his late prime and for players of his caliber that lasts for much longer than regular guys.
