I think it needs to be someone outside of the admin if they want a slam dunk win. Kamala vs. Trump is an interesting debate but like Biden it's largely a coin toss that goes some ways some times some ways the other. That being said I don't see a strong leading dem now. Newsom is ehh, coupled with the baggage that his ex wife is Trump Jr's fiance that will be ugly for dems. I think the one who could be a spicy take would be Whitmer. She's polling really well in Michigan and could carry the Rust Belt.

Dems are in trouble this election cycle but have some options in 2028 that are interesting. I would be shocked if ANdy Beshear doesn't start a campaign here in a bit if Trump wins to be the next dem candidate. HE's relatively young (46) and seems cut from that mold that he's kind of liberal but will pull republicans who don't like Trumpers.

Nobody is stepping up for this cycle to get destroyed by Trump.

And when Vance is the nominee in 2028 after 4 amazing years the left will get destroyed again.

No one cares about Hulk Hogan. No one has cared about him since the 90s. It's the ultimate republican move to bring someone irrelvant who used to be relevant on old celebrity. The most notable thing Hogan has done in the last decade is sue Gawker over a sex tape release

To be fair it was his only hope and now he's probably pissed because 2028 won't be his turn as well.

Why is that great news to you??? No one older than 40 years old cares about Hulk Hogan (much less even know who he is). And to be honest, most of them don't even care anyways.

If they want younger Republicans they should have brought in country singers and athletes that are recognizable.
