2024 Minor League Thread

They have changed a lot for AJSS this year. The good news is his FB added velocity. He can even hit 100. A lot of this would normally be happening at lower levels but he was just too good for lower levels. They adjusted his arm slot and smoothed out a hitch in his delivery to help him improve his control. His changeup has improved and he even added a splitter. The only thing I worry about with him is health because of the position he plays. He is a scouts wet dream.

Hackenberg had another 5 shut out innings last night. He’s pitched better since his promotion to MS. His game logs show dominant performances (like the 16K outing) with an occasional stinker or his overall stats would look even better.

He still feels like a high ceiling guy to me.

Players his age who dominate A ball are top prospects. People need to not lose sight of the fact that is way ahead in the learning curve even if this year feels like a bit of a lost year for him. He has everything scouts dream of and seems to pick things up faster than most. Thats a damn good combo for a guy who can hit 100 mph.

Murphy's contract bumps up to 15 million a year after this year for the next 4 years. If Baldwin truly is the real deal, I wish they'd find a way to unload that contract.

Nacho continues to go nuts in AAA

3 for 5 with his 9th homer... sitting at a .943 OPS

What's his average EV at AAA? Do we have a way to look that up? I can never find that info on Savant.

His contact in the majors was super weak. I am not one to give up on a kid so early, but the 83.8 EV is hard to get past. If he's close to 88 average EV in AAA, I would have much more hope for him. Probably not as a SS, but maybe as super sub until we can find him a permanent spot.

It’s not obvious on the site, but you can switch from mlb to aaa. The text that says mlb is actually a selector button.
