I could totally see AA trade Murphy to Milwaukee for Bill and the rest of Yelich's contract.
Kelenic, Soler, and Baldwin for Yelich and Bill.

Spotrac just released contract projections. The main SS and SP of interest:
Fried - 6/136: Would you lock Fried up through his age 36 season? I don't think I want to deal with all his nagging injuries for 6 more years at a premium salary.
Adames - 6/152: This is the only obvious hole in the lineup, and it pushes Arcia to the bench to finally have a real option there. If they are going to splurge for a non-elite FA this would be a good candidate.

I believe we were after him at the deadline but the demands he was making was throwing it off. He will definitely be traded this offseason. A Waldrep, Baldwin, Nacho, Richie, lesser piece probably does it. I dont like trading Baldwin though.

I think the solution to an Adames contract is he could move to 3B/2B as he ages. Riley should most likely move to 1B as he ages, but that massive Olson contract prevents that. Albies will most certainly be gone after his deal runs out, and that opens up 2B for an aging Adames.
Not sure how I feel about that Adames contract, but if the goal is to upgrade the team that's the one clear answer.
I'm going to go out on a limb and predict Albies is not interested in taking a budget deal again.
He's a league average hitter with elite defense. Thats a big upgrade from one of the worst hitting full time starters and a good defender. Arcia had a 72 RC. Dansby 99. I know fangraphs defensive WAR aint the most reliable but Dansby doubled up Arcia in defensive WAR. And we are talking defense at one of if not the most important defensive position in the game. CF/SS/C are the top 3 most important defensive positions no question about it. Everyones order of those 3 might change but defense is very important. Especially for what is now a pitching first team.
Kim is having major shoulder surgery and probably will want to stay on the west coast for shorter travel home to Japan. We would probably need to overpay several million over what any west coast team would pay. The Dodgers will probably pay him 15 million just to be a bench player since they annexed Japan.

Thats alot for just 2 years of Crochet (hypothetical).
Spotrac projected Minter at 2 years/5.4M TOTAL, yeah cant see that happening.
When was the last time the Braves handed out a big FA contract? BJ Upton 12 years ago? And that was a modest 5/75, even for that time.
Point being: The Braves have never been big players in the FA market. And I don't see them starting now, with all the uncertainty surrounding the roster and a decent but not a huge amount of $ available. I think more likely is a series of 2nd-tier acquisitions to strengthen depth and maybe get a decent bat for LF. I think a trade for a JP Crawford type (who had a down year, but is projected by ZIPs for a fairly consistent 3 WAR for the next few years) is the best we can hope for at SS. I also wouldn't be surprised to see Arcia get another year as starter (disappointed yes, but not surprised).
Not that it proves your theory wrong, but we signed Ozuna to 4/65 when he was a FA, with a 16 million option that we will be picking up. So it will end up being 5/80.
We've also been plenty involved in the FA market. We were pretty close to signing Freddie before moving on and trading for Olson. We reportedly made a competitive offer to Nola last year. We also made an offer to Bae before he went to the Cubs, though reportedly it wasn't anywhere near what he eventually got.
The point is, we aren't afraid to be players for the guys we want. Though we haven't come in with the top bid, it isn't like we had no interest in signing them to a large contract. That being said, I doubt we do 6/150 for Adames when we weren't willing to go anywhere near that for Bae.
