I've been a proponent of the 'North America' economic unit because I believe its in our best interests to have a strong Canada/Mexico so depending on the tariff, and resulting reaction by those nations, it could go either way. My preference if for Canada/Mexico to boot out CCP investment which leads to coercion, police their borders and for Mexico specifically help destroy the cartels. Then I would love more free trade between the nations.

For China all tariffs are good because they are aimed at regime change to stop the CCP from becoming a global hegemon.

Yes - Tariffs implemented on countries that aren't treating us correctly are a good thing. We either change the global supply chain in our favor or the countries give us concessions to make us richer.

No because Mexico is now treating us more correctly and will make more concessions.

Difficulty reading or something because i was very clear in my post why tariffs are used and have been consistent from the beginning.

If your goal is to reduce globalization and increase American manufacturing, imposing a **** ton of tariffs on the rest of the world is a decent way to encourage that.

Sounds like maybe that's not the main goal though
