OL is more on the QB, not the OL. Bad OL's are on the QB for holding onto the ball too long among other things.

He's not wrong.

Incorrect. QBs can certainly play a factor. But you can't hide a bad OL. I mean geez dude, just re-watch this game. Mahomes had less than 3 seconds to make a decision in roughly half of his drop backs. The Eagles DL were constantly in the backfield before the play even had a chance to develop. That isn't on Mahomes.

Replacing one of the best TE's ever is way easier said than done. Even on a decline, he's still a top 4-5 TE in the league.

Kelce is nowhere remotely close to a top 4-5 TE right now. He looks slow. His numbers this year were a result of KC having basically zero other offensive weapons after Rice went down. Worthy was ok, but he was a rookie who is basically all speed right now.

A guy on twitter did a breakdown of Kelce's SB performance, and it was really bad. Getting off the snap slow. No wiggle in his routes. Getting blown up on blocks. Unless Kelce was playing injured, he needs to retire.

They don't need to replace one of the best TEs ever, just need to nab a possession receiver that can be a safety. Maybe keeping D-Hop is that dude for them. Maybe drafting a big body receiver is the way. Who knows. That's on the chiefs to figure out. You dont' need an elite TE. They help, but most of the best TEs I'm pretty sure are not that great, their QBs make them great.

Yeah he would be wise to hang it up if he values his legacy over money, but that being said, the money is probably too good for me. He only has a 2.5M cap hit if he's cut, I wonder if KC tells him they'll cut him because he's not worth a 19M cap hit, and offers to let him retire on his terms or he can be cut. I would make them cut me personally. Because **** Owners, get paid.

He's a pass catching tight end who can't get seperation anymore and isn't winning 50/50 balls. He lost all his value. He won't be a chief next year unless he restructures to a much much cheaper contract but they still shoudl just move on. I think a WR room of Rice, WOrthy, and someone to play the possession game like Kelce used to that's what they need. WOrthy is your playmaker and homerun hitter, RIce is your main target, then all you need is a relief valve, that could be a TE, RB, or WR3. Just someone with a nose for soft spots on the defense and sure hands gets you what Kelce has been the last few years.

Its not a shock that even good QB's are bad without weapons.

Makes Lamar's 2019 even more special. Hollywood Brown was his number 1 WR and he lit the league on fire.

That being said, great QBs elevate their talent. Khalil Shakir would be mediocre if he didn't have Josh Allen as his QB.

You don't need elite weapons, but they make the job so much easier, especially when it comes to a safety valve. It was nice for Ryan when the defense did a sell out blitz to know Julio was gonna win a 50/50 ball over a DB. Mahomes didn't have anyoen to do tha.t And you saw Hurts do that with Brown multiple times. Throw a 50/50 ball on what some people consider one of the best cover corners in the NFL and brown just makes a little move and gets a catch.

Two of their super bowl victories were handed to them - Bosa had game ending plays right in his grasp but KC is allowed to hold. Its well documented.

What about the other no calls against the 49ers in both of those games?

Bad calls happen. Only losers blame the refs.

Mahomes had a bad game without great weapons. He was still very good in the regular season, where his team went 15-1 in his starts. Sure he isn't putting up MVP level numbers the last 2 seasons with a mediocre supporting staff. But he's still been plenty good.

Yeah

my favorite is tryting to get the call vs. the DB on Deebo while Trent WIlliams is commiting a clear offensive hold right in frame.

But Niners fans gloss over the TD that shouldn't have counted

That's not really a subjective hold of let the players play, so on so forth,

Refs make mistakes. Niners win if they played better.

Remember when you got to the Superbowl on the play where Patrick Willis committed 2 different fouls on Roddy White?

How happy would you be with this?

Get the number 7 and number 42 pick and a probable decent pick next year unless Cam Ward goes all Jayden Daniels.

Obviously losing the number 1 pick all the way back to 7 is rough. You go from elite talent like Hunter, Carter and Graham. Probably Will Johnson or McMillan or someone else is there.

Titans could trade for Kirko Chainz and be competitive quickly.

If that's the only trade available, I wouldn't hate it. Loading up picks is most certainly the best path forward. Get the picks and hope that Tate MacMillan or the 2nd best edge is there at 7.

But ideally, the Giants fall in love with Ward and we take a lesser trade package to move down 3 so that we have an up opportunity to pick Carter or Hunter. For moving down to 3, we should be able to grab the Giants pick at 34 and probably next year's 2nd. If not, at the very least, I would expect us to be able to grab 34, plus this years 3rd and next year's 3rd.

As far as Cousins, eh maybe. But if we're passing on elite players at the top of this draft to trade with the Jets, then I'd rather just lean into the skid so we guaranteed to have top 5 pick in 2026. Go Levis again in 2025 or maybe sign Fields who is pretty familiar with playing his team into a number 1 pick. Hell you might just hit the lottery with Fields if he learned anything from playing behind Wilson.

Draft class is rock solid, with 2 QBs going high, you still should have a potential probowler at multiple picks. I agree Hunter and Carter are kind of the unicorns and who you'd want. But like everyone in the top 10 grades as probable multi-year starters.

The draft is really good in a lot of places other than QB. Interior DL, Corner, OT, etc.

I don't know if you can guanrantee a top 5 pick next year. WIth the Saints looking like they'll be in freefall, Browns are in freefall, Jets are a huge questionmark, and there's always a team who gets ****ed with injuries and kind of bottoms out, the Jaguars are that team this year.

I mean you won't be wrong that a Levis lead tema should finish bottom 5, but you know Callahan and BOrgonzi aren't going to take their situation for granted unless they're given guarantees by the ownership.

Borgonzi knows he has a longer leash than Callahan. And since he didn't even choose Callahan, he may not be too concerned in his voice.

Fair enough. I just don't know if tank for a year is an option when you're sitting at number 1, especially if you can grab multiple impact players in this draft and be set upf or next draft.

If Ten wants to move it for picks, thats a pretty tempting offer. But you're also probably not even gonna get Graham, Tet, Hunter or Carter. I'd try to get the Giants and you basically have your pick of the choosing. Thats depending if teams like NYG/NYJ, others love Ward or Sanders.

But the more I think about it, the more I feel like Giants are just gonna sign a QB like Darnold or Rodgers or trade for Stafford. With the state of the NFC East, I feel like they are under a lot pressure to win now, and not 2-3 years from now.

Ward is certainly NFL ready, and the last 3 years has proven that experienced college QBs can have a lot of early success in this era of NFL offenses. But I am just not sure Schoen and Daboll want to risk that with their jobs on the line in 2025.
