I was hoping Murphy would return to form and giveBraves options with two high value assets... If Baldwin does well, I doubt Murphy ever sees the fill time role he was looking at yesterday

Thank God AA didn't trade Baldwin. Murphy will only miss like 3 weeks of the regular season.

Yeah his feet are gonna be thrown to the fire quick. And the way most are if he struggles which he will then he is an automatic bust. Basically if he's not Ohtani then AA sucks and we are doomed.

Murphy is a damn China doll. Easily the worst Braves trade since sending Simba to the Angels for Newk. And I'm someone who has generally been a Murphy supporter, even through last season.

At some point, you are who are. He's missed time every year here with injuries. Flukey or not, it's a trend.

It seems like the strike zone has been tiny all spring. He was squeezed in the first inning several batters.

A lot of guys get hit with 96. He is injury prone, and he's a catcher who will likely age like a typical catcher. All reasons not to have traded Contreras for him and then extend him into his mid-30s.

That trade and extension has been an unmitigated disaster, and is easily the worst move in AA's tenure. No amount of homerism can change that.
