Minor League Thread Part Deux

Yeah he's probably to high in the system for a HS kid.
I've been griping since the FCL season ended a month ago that it has prevented recent HS draftees from having a place to appropriately get their feet underneath them. I honestly don't know what MLB is thinking seeing they let the Dominican Summer League regular season go on until last week (playoffs are still going on). I think the elimination of leagues and the truncated schedule in the complex leagues really hurts a lot of prospects.

Yeah I think there was a miscommunication somewhere. Alex Lodise did indeed have a nice week with a slash line of .318/.348/.500 (.848 OPS). But his cousin Kyle flat crushed everything he saw this week in the SAL, with a line of .529/.625/1.235 (1.860 OPS). Also, it shows Kyle Lodise as the POTW on milb.com

Yikes, kind of embarrassing for a team to get that information wrong - and then keep the tweet up for 24 hours and counting.

Don’t look now, but Southisene is up to batting .300 with an .833 OPS after his 2-4 night with a double. Not bad for a guy getting his feet wet a level above where he should probably be this season.

If he can finish hot, he might make a top 100 list or 2 given he is a first rounder and extremely young for the league.

While I agree with that, I think it's more important that he adjusts to the level. The pitching is top 10, the positional players are mid. I finally got to see Southisene (may be the last milb game). I came away with :
Quick to the ball. Unsure and a guess hitter but can punish the ball inside. Didn't like the hand placement but his start and swing to the ball is good. I believe a raise of the hand and setup gets him into his game power. He smacked a double in which it was loud and the bat speed was legit. Gonna be a hitter no doubt.
Fielding...he's a lot more smooth than I thought. He could man 3rd and be smooth af. He won't hurt you defensively, but I only saw a few chances. If only he and Tavarez had a baby 😂😂😂
