FanDuel Sports Networks Could Shut Down Unless Sale To DAZN Closes Next Month

This seems like it could be huge...like The Battery huge.
could be wrong but doesn’t seem Rangers made out super well

Key Details of the New 2025 Structure:
  • Revenue Drop: The,team moved from a projected $90-$95 million in 2024 to an estimated sub-$60 million for 2025.
  • Streaming Partnership: Victory+ will be the home for ~150 games, costing fans
    $100
    for a season pass.
  • Over-the-Air (OTA): Select Friday games (15 in 2025) will be available for free, with KDAF CW33 as the DFW affiliate.
  • Production: The team is producing its own broadcasts through the new Rangers Sports Network.

The new network can run advertisements for The Battery, and then they can use the increased revenue that drives to fund advertisements for the new network in The Battery, and on and on in a glorious cycle of shareholder profit maximization.

When I see the hit the Cards are taking it frightens me even more to think that Manfred wants to get all MLB local tv under the same umbrella of control by the league.

That would be fine with me. I want equal footing for all teams even though it would hurt the braves too

The Rangers may have taken a hit, but it seems they took much less of a hit than the Cards did going with MLB broadcasting.

My concern would be fans having to pay for yet another streaming service.

How many of Braves' country states would be covered in OTA?
