And when Freddie learned the Braves offered that contract and his agent never relayed it to him, Freddie had an emotional breakdown and fired his agent.

And it’s somehow the Braves fault for not offering an even bigger contract.

Andruw told him.

Those guys bypassed their agents to get deals done to stay.

The team gave him a big 100 million deal previous his 3rd or 4th year in the league.

And yes, when you factor cost of living, taxes, deferred money, the LA deal is less than what ATL offered.
 
Maybe we are better off; but in what should've been the middle our contention window, we've won exactly zero playoff series without FF. We won 5 series his last 2 seasons as a brave.

I didn't realize Freddie's per year salary had dropped so low. I thought he was still making 20 million in annual salary like he was at the start of the contract.

This matters, but Freddie likely changes nothing. Everyone got injured or shit the bed.
 
And I know it's completely irrational to blame Olson, but I feel we were robbed of what woulda been a historic run if FF and Swanson were retained.

I’ll give state some credit here… he’ll wish death on any player that hits into an inning ending double play. He’s nothing if not consistent
