Demaryius Thomas?
Dez is definitely better than him. AJ Green and Julio are the guys in the mix for the top 4 with CJ and Dez.
Dez and DT are pretty close, i can see it either way with them.
I would rank:
Calvin
Thomas
Green
Jones
Then tough group to decide.
no Dez?
In the group with Marshall, Jeffery, dJax, etc. might be 5th best overall.

I'd have him in with DT/Green/Julio, but we all have opinions.

I mean he's good. I just don't rank him in the top 5.
Last 2 years he has basically same number of targets and receptions as Thomas, yet inferior yards. The advanced metrics are fAr lower on him Than where I rank him(possibly 5).
In Dez's defense, he's the go to guy on his team unlike Thomas who has others to draw coverage heat be it Decker, Welker or Thomas the larger. And of course the QB factor comes into play. I do agree that Thomas is seemingly criminally underrated by most here. Especially if people think Crabapples is close to him.

You realize that your go to site had Crabtree as the sixth best receiver in 2012 right?
You realize I don't usually use DYAR when judging WRs right? I consider it with a number of things, but primarily base it off watching people play. Crabtree is a fine possession receiver, but that's about it. His route running is weak for a 1, his speed is pedestrian, and he doesn't even seem to own his skillset as he seems to try to still play like he did in college when he was faster than most people he faced.
Unless you go back over film, it's really hard to judge a WRs route running.
