Those of us who grew up in church heard this our whole life (and our parents heard it their whole life--and their parents heard it their whole life). **** or get off the pot, God.
Mossy, I'm not saying the Olivet Discourse doesn't have present or future applications. But I am saying that when you read it in context (particularly sections of Chapters 21 and 23) you see that Christ is clearly warning of something happening to Jerusalem in the not too distant future. That something major and horrific, in the lifetime of his hearers, was the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70. I grew up with futurist interpretations of it and of the Book of Revelation, and never thought outside of that box.
Believe what you want Dalyn, but I find your comments offensive. Not that I'm surprised to hear it from you. If your intent is to mock either God or his followers, please do it somewhere else.
Do you agree that current events around the globe are a coincidence, or mean something will be happening? I don't think we in North America see it as clearly as we haven't had the horrors (yet) that other regions have digressed to.
I know you and doomsday preppers have a semi chubby over the end of the world, but re-****ing-lax.
I find ambulance chasers and carpetbaggers offensive. This **** is like a mix of the two. If your intent is to use this most recent atrocity (another religious one, I might add) to collect a few more trophies for your god, please do it somewhere else.

Dalyn, I shared something that just happens to be an interest of mine. Nobody forced you to participate, but you did, and you chose to be foul mouthed about it.
It's not your opinion, it's the disrespectful way you chose to hijack my thread with foul language, while mocking my views when it wasn't necessary.
If you don't believe in God, what is my thread to you?
How about you lead by example?
In any case, the point is made, I won't post about faith here as it's clearly not welcome.

I've read the bible cover to cover 10+ times, spent my childhood in a Christian school, and grew up in a pastor's home. What I find OFFENSIVE is you religious people who use every atrocity around the world as a recruitment tool, and then play the victim card when someone calls you on it.
