Braves sniffing around on Markakis; Official 4 years 44 million.

This is from Passan's article.

Not that i expect us to land him but..

and are expected to be aggressive once 19-year-old Cuban Yoan Moncada is declared eligible by the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Well, guys, Adam Jones is pissed.

U don't want my opinion!!!!!!!!

We done good.

I agree with Saunders, but they had to fill someone to replace Heyward.

I dont love it or hate it, im neutral.

We could do worse but its not awful imo.

My thoughts exactly.

Also Heywards gone and he ain't coming back. It sucks, but get over it and move on. Not addressing you, just the board in general. We can't just compare every new player we get to Heyward for the next 10 years.

Would be the one way I could start to have a bit of confidence in Hart's plan.

So essentially we turned 1 yr of Heyward and 3 years of Walden into Miller (a soild No. 3 starter a worst), Jenkins (our 1st or 2nd best piching prospect now), and Markakis (a .350 career OBP hitter).

But we're gonna be soooo terrible!!! LOLLLZZZ

Then if they are intent on Gattis playing left field if he's on the roster, where does Justin Upton go? And if Justin is traded, who do we put in the lineup that can do what he does?

We damn sure aren't going to be better than last year trading most of our offense.

We have no clue if they intend on playing Gattis in LF... December just started last I checked, and the FO is never going to come out and say, "oh yah, we are going to trade that guy".... or "No way we will put him in LF, he'd be awful." That'd be just plain retarded.

Yeah, plus the excess salary we will have when someone signs Heyward for 25 per year. Not a great move but it was a smart move and good use of maximizing your assets.

Heyward batting leadoff last year: .270/.343 with 10 HR's, 39 RBI's and 14 SB's
Markakis batting leadoff last year: .274/.339 with 13 HR's, 43 RBI's and 4 SB's

You don't think Heyward having 3 pitchers hitting at the bottom of the order was a variable in to that?
