the CIA torture report is sickening

Also on page 11:

"CIA officers also threatened at least three detainees with harm to their families — to include threats to harm the children of a detainee, threats to sexually abuse the mother of a detainee, and a threat to 'cut [a detainee's] mother's throat.'"

I'm sure this is a technique we've been using on our troops since well, after WWI. You know the "One To End Them All"

Matter of fact I am waiting from the contingent from Dumb****istan to chime in with how ... c'mon guys don't disappoint

:stupid:

And I'm sure all those countries adhere to this.

"Quaint" was the word I think Cheney used. And that is the way we seem to treat everything from police brutality to torture reports. If the other guy does something unconscionable that makes it okay for others to do something equally as wrong ???

Besides -- torture or enhanced interogation or whatever you want to call it Doesn't Work

Also those rules only apply to lawful combatants.

Pleasse point out in the Geneva Accords where that is stated or is that you know "like your opinion man".

Quick Garmell without googling -- what are the Geneva Accords aand what and why are they in place. The events that led to them ? Outside of those trying to protect their asses, who still holds the slightest notion that torture works?

You don't understand what the topic is or what it is about

I find it impossible for a study to make that determination. Torture is going to work differently on all types of people.

"a study..." ?????????????????

Read thethe read. Once again you are supporting a school of thought based on a soundbite / bumper sticker.

We killed Gul Rahman and gave a bonus of $2,500 to the guy who killed him for "@akaelus: "consistently superior work"

Never mind what the footnote says about Gul though: "Footnote 32 says that Gul Rahman was a case of mistaken identity.

And we killed him. Froze him to death."

Yeah, if you look above I was explicitly talking about waterboarding. Sorry if I didn't make that clear.

it's absurd to say water boarding isn't torture

the moral high ground you stand on is pretty low if you don't think it is

Article 5 of the Geneva Convention. Further defined by Bush in Military Commissions Act of 2006.

Alberto Gonzalez - if memory serves. Once again you take one side of the issue and turn your head to any other voices. Bush decided it wasn't torture. And, the cop in Ferguson was attacked -- both might be true but they are both only one side.

The Bush Definition.

Well, that's your opinion. I happen to think differently.

would love for you to be waterboarded and then have your thoughts on if it is torture or not

still waiting for Hannity to step up and do it as well while i am thinking about that when he said the same stupid ****ing statement you did

Well, that's your opinion. I happen to think differently.

A few friends and I decided to do it to each other to gain an opinion of it.

It's most certainly torture. There aren't many things I'd like to avoid more for the rest of my life.

Wow. So much hate.

I've had a friends that had it done including a family member who doesn't think so. To each his own.
