Yep. Just saw it. Knew a significant suspension was coming. Just too much surrounding the situation for there not to be one. Don't think I can argue with it.

In a bit of irony, his first game after the suspension would be against the Panthers on Thanksgiving.

I think it will come down on appeal. 10 games is a lot for a guy who, in the end, was found not guilty.
It sucks he's missing both Giants and Eagles games if it doesn't get reduced. The ONE time we don't play the Eagles late in the season.
I feel like they're trying to make up for their continued screw ups in the Rice thing with this.

He was actually found guilty by a judge, but his attorney got it moved to jury trial. In the meantime, they paid her to go away and thus, they couldn't convict. It's crazy that Cowboy fans are defending this human piece of **** (not talking about you Oklahoma)

Yup, provide evidence of exactly what he did and I'll agree. There's her story, his story, and as usual, the truth likely lies somewhere in between. If the NFL were anywhere near consistent in their discipline, their punishment would make sense, I'm sure. Since they're FAR from consistent and their investigations are far from reliable, 10 games for something he was cleared of seems like a lot.

The obvious answer is so that he would have time to settle (AKA PAY HER OFF) it civilly before it went to jury trial because he was already staring at one guilty verdict.

I'm sure the judge just had a hard on for Hardy, and there was nothing peculiar about how the jury trial fell apart. Gotcha.

I'm also sure the PI's the Bucs hired to investigate the situation who came back and recommended the Bucs not touch the guy with a 10 foot pole also vindicate Hardy. And I'm sure the NFL had no information regarding the case.

For everything we know in this trial, 10 games is fine. Arguing that he deserves less is disgusting and puts your love of the Cowboys over respecting women.

While he is a monster, he hasn't actually been convicted of anything since the case was dismissed and the victim clearly feels she has been adequately compensated for any wrong doing that might have occured or else she wouldn't have took the money and run.

My personal views are that he is a scum bag and I hope he never plays again. But, my personal views of this guy aside, it sets a bad precedent suspending guys for crimes they haven't been convicted of. It's a tricky situation, but in this particular case I feel that right call was made to suspend him for 10 games. Sometimes doing the right thing is more important.

Panthers Pro Bowl defensive end Greg Hardy was found guilty Tuesday night of assaulting a female and communicating threats.
