I don't think we'll trade Maybin but this front office has been very deft at giving the impression of wanting to keep players to squeeze more out of trades (see Kimbrel and Gattis).

But Zobrist doesn't have any power any more. Or speed. Doesn't really hit for average. Down to two positions. The easiest two. Only adequate in the field.

Basically, he's what Dalyn told us Prado was all those years.

Specifics on $$ for Pap: Phils give Nats $4.5M for '15. Papelbon waives option, new deal is for '16 but pays $8M next year and $3M in '17.

This is a better situation for the Nats than a huge outlay for Kimbrel. Still, I'm surprised the Phillies did this well considering the task ahead of them was to trade a surly, mid-30s reliever with a no-trade clause.

Other than the fact they got good value for both.

Cut Melvin's deal off the books and Gattis isnt an NL player, sure.

Who would we trade? I guess the better question is who would people want on our roster that we are willing to give up? It looks like Maybin is staying. JJ? He is not near the top of the list for closer's available. The only trade I see us making is CJ for very little....maybe a bucket of baseballs??? Nah...more like a dozen baseballs.

JJ, AJ, and Gomes could all be dealt if the team is in on #TeamTank
