It's OVER 5,000!
Wood has a better WAR than Zimmerman, Bumgarner, or Lester this season.
Which WAR are you using? All of them are easily out-WARing him according to Fangraphs.

I simply do not understand the need to rush trading Wood. Wood for Olivera is bad, but it can be rationalized and argued, I suppose. Once you move into trading Peraza and Chris Johnson is not a part of this, then it falls on its face.

@kileymcd Know you wrote a lot on Olivera this winter and that the trade isn't finalized, but any initial thoughts on Braves-Dodgers swap?

@enasti30 I'll need to see all the names first but getting Olivera for multiple years at that price is better than most prospects
He just got traded so it's mainly bravesitis.
Again, I LOVE Alex Wood. But, I think we have options and I'm incredibly high on Wisler.
Heyward has been at the epicenter of St. Louis' success. Let's not try to discount the poor guy's contributions for the sake of argument.
I never said that we 'lost the deal' if the Cardinals won the World Series, just that they accomplished exactly what they set out to do if they win it.
You are likely right -- but I'm still holding out for more.
This deal unbelievably favors the Dodgers as it currently stands.
Good talk... I'm also the only person in the world who shares this view... I know.
Also Heyward has been the Cards best player this year, last I checked
I didn't discount his contributions in the least.
I don't like the deal at all... so you're just being a douche just to be a douche... congrats.

I've wanted to trade Wood before this deal... and I still hate this deal... so no, that's not the case, but thanks
So then admit he's one of the primary reasons why St. Louis is coasting toward the division.
...I've never not said that. He absolutely is. They're totally content with the deal IF they win - I've said that.
