GOP debate

Honestly, as long as someone isn't a cyborg, I don't really care all that much about that aspect. I appreciate that Obama was a fantastic public speaker and he was incredible an incredible salesman with policy. But that's far down my list.

If it's about getting it done pragmatically and policy then Kasich should be over Rubio.

Rubio and Kasich seem to have the best temperaments out of that group but do any of them have a real chance to win? It's like discussing the playoffs and WS while watching a 2016 Phillies/Braves game.

The analytics guy at 538 seem to favor the Republicans ever so slightly in the general election. This is going to be a very close race.

I would eat dog**** before I vote for Rubio.

Wait, didn't you spend some time working on his campaign stuff early on? Sorry if I'm just out of the loop (not really a surprise here) but did you learn a/some thing(s) during this time that influenced your opinion here? Also, if you'd rather not talk about it that's totally fine as well.

Hawk realized how bad Rubio manages finances and couldn't pay him enough to stay on.

I think Kasich would do more damage to Hillary on a debate stage and election, than Fiorina, Carson, Trump, Rubio. Jeb is still a wild card, but I don't see him and his boring charisma getting back to top dog status. He doesn't have the charm Dubya had.

To the poster wondering had I ever an original thought then proceeded to call me a "loser"

"Meanwhile, Carson said America needed to make global jihadists “look like losers” by taking back a big oil field they control in Iraq. “We could do that, I believe, fairly easily. I’ve learned from talking to several generals, and then you move on from there.”

We need to make a decision. Do we create the drinking game from the word "philosophy" or "loser"
Rethinking it on my end, I opt for loser. Trump alone would get me under the table.

Let me offer a piece I am sure few here would make contact - though it is right smack in the middle of the OpEd pages of the Gray Old Lady

"Who won? It’s hard to imagine voters who’ve stuck with Trump or Carson this long would be deterred by anything at this point. Many experts seem to think Cruz and Rubio did well, which I guess they did if you like illogical economic programs and totally terrifying views on foreign affairs. I guess Jeb felt encouraged. After the debate he emailed a request for another donation, to “keep the momentum going.”

Compulsive liar that is not like her husband, who also lied in court, or a moon man saying the rich will pay for everything but in the end the poor and middle will pay for all the free stuff he wants, meaning jobs will be destroyed in the process when it goes automated or shipped overseas.

or the other party

hmmmmm....that is tough....not

Liars can be bought, nuke codes included, destroying jobs is Moon Mans fallacy in making everything free

and the other side

most are egomaniacs or are not cutout in politics (Trump/Carson)

I would take my chances with the Republican Party, they will keep us safe and not destroy the country financially.

a) When did she "...lied in court" and if she did lie in court would bet the ranch on perjury charges instead off accusations and speculation

b) you know little of Senator Sanders plan. If you knew more about his plan or his history you would understand how wrong this statement is

c) this country is at it's most prosperous since well, the last Clinton was POTUS and keep us safe like say, Bush 43 ?

Not sure about HRC lies. There are laws that govern lying under oath or Special Commitee Investigation to root out lies of policy.
HRC is under neither indictment.

Otherwise, calling her a liar is partisan speculation.
With a wink and a nod

My firm is still doing consulting work for a candidate, but it's not Rubio. I'll reveal more about the gig when he drops out (which is all but an inevitability at this point). My distaste for Rubio has more to do with his artificiality and grooming than anything else ... and that I believe Hillary would crush him in the general.

It's not worth the effort refuting this.

You live in LA LA land of Democrats don't do anything wrong crowd.

Time for GOP Panick

Less than three months before the kickoff Iowa caucuses, there is growing anxiety bordering on panic among Republican elites about the dominance and durability of Donald Trump and Ben Carson and widespread bewilderment over how to defeat them.

Party leaders and donors fear that nominating either man would have negative ramifications for the GOP ticket up and down the ballot, virtually ensuring a Hillary Rodham Clinton presidency and increasing the odds that the Senate falls into Democratic hands.

The party establishment is paralyzed. Big money is still on the sidelines.
