That's just dumb. Why shop him then? Nobody is going to give you that.
Fish could be sending a message to Fernandez. They don't want to move him but do want him to conform in the clubhouse.

Dodgers get Chapman for 2 Prospects
there are so many questions around this... how is this going to affect Jansen? He would get paid so much better if he were a closer, but now he is probably going to be a setup man on his walk year. plus both Jansen and Chapman are in a walk year... I don't think they will keep both since both guys are closers, so who are they going to try to extend... I doubt Chapman is wanting an extension pre FA.. He will get a good payday on the open market... isn't BorASS his agent too..
I wonder if LAD moves Chapman to the rotation.
Ugh. If the Dodgers can get a talent like Chapman headlined by a Jose Peraza package it makes the Olivera deal even more abhorrent.

I would call the Nats about Papelbon. I know that sounds crazy as hell.
We want to sure up the back end of the BP. Check
We can pay him. Check
He has filed a grievance against the Nats about his pay over the last 4 games. I don't see him returning there in any scenario. Which brings me to...they pretty much have to move him.
His list of suitors will be EXTREMELY short, especially with that contract. I say call up Washington and offer to take him at a reduced salary, and have them throw in a nice prospect. Like... a nice one.
That guy would love nothing more than to fire fastballs at Bryce Harper for the next few years. Plus, I'd just like to see how much Mich Ultra he and AjP could pound post game after dusting Harper off. That would be one heck of a battery team.
That post shows some true evil genius potential. You might consider a career change to the supervillian business.
