With the signing of Utley, I wouldn't be surprised if they moved Peraza.
Yet isn't it odd that LA feels so confident in Peraza that they'd rather sign a 37 year old Utley, coming off a year in which he barely hit over the Uggla/ BJ/Mendoza line?
I'm not sure how much value Chapman really holds with 1 year remaining to FA.

to a team ready to win this year.. I would think a lot. they may value Utley more than Peraza if it meant trading Peraza turns into Chapman/Jansen two headed monster coming at you.. Not that they think Utley is better than Peraza..

Completely agree. No reason we don't make a deal with them - well, unless they're idiots and don't care much about winning a WS. Adding Shelby would be a perfect match to go with Arrieta and Lester. That's one hell of a 1-2-3.

At that point, why bother signing anyone? Just use Eury out there with Bourn. Or grab literally ANY rule 5 guy and stick him out there.
