I was super excited for the draft for the last couple weeks. I feel pretty stupid for getting excited

It should always be exciting. Any of these guys could turn into anything. Being overly disappointed or down just means you've probably jumped to too many conclusions.

Lewis probably does coke with Heyward in the offseason. Both hate baseball.

True, but the rankings usually are fairly accurate to what the general consensus among teams is. If we get someone ranked in the 30's with the 40th pick then you can be pretty sure things didn't work out like we wanted.

There is no such thing as a consensus among teams when it comes to the MLB draft. I bet if you take the Braves and White Sox top 20 there would be atleast 10 different players among those 20. The rankings are very fluid and change at the drop of a hat.

The Braves paid zero attention to the "consensus" rankigns. When you have someone like McDaniel working on this every day, they had his list -- a list no one else has. Their evaluation of players is shared with no one. Including us. And that's as it should be.

Still would have liked Lewis.

Thank you. Good lord. I really wanted a high-upside bat, Lewis was my number one guy; BUT, I see a rotation that has the potential to be absolutely lethal and the pitchers to get the bats we need - oh, and we have more picks. Lol

Also, good for the Red Sox. That's a damn good system.

FWIW, I've never really seen the Heyward comparisons on Lewis. Likely has more power but not as much plate discipline. Just a different kind of hitter.

They better care. It either means their draft hinges completely on one player or they won't end up with a 1st round pick this year.

Guys, Anderson isn't a top 10 talent. Again, there's a reason he's signing way, way under slot. He's a high schooler who could easily go to Vandy and word is he's still gonna sign under slot. And we're not talking just a little under slot, we're talking ridiculously under slot.

Before pick slotting there's no way he goes in the top 10.
