Well, there is an image I did not need

Yep, when was the last time the Braves didn't get the player they said they had ranked at the top of their board?
You're assuming the worst. I'm going to assume the best.
To each his own.
And you're the one who admitted the Braves likely did tell Anderson he was the top pitcher on their board.

I didn't. I was giving an example of how it didn't make sense. No way he takes half his slot value if teams are thinking he's the top pitcher in the draft. Unless you think the Braves are the only team who thinks he's that high.

MLB Network panel predicts a run on college starting pitchers. Hope so.
They just might be. They obviously convinced Anderson they were.
Who do you think the Braves targeted at 40 when deciding to go under slot at 3? Only guy left I see as a candidate is Kieboom and Anderson/Keiboom doesn't really make me think it was wise to pass on the likes of Puk/Ray/Lewis/Groome/Pint.
Which is more likely. That or them trying to play the slot money game?
Padres with a reach, if you go by the rankings.
And I take back my comment about SD having a good draft.
Which is more likely. That or them trying to play the slot money game?
Both? I seriously do not think the Braves skipped over several names on their board just so they could go under slot. I never bought into the slot game much. I think they saw an opportunity to add a guy they rated very, very highly while also leaving open options later. That may still work out in our favor. We'll see.
